OREANDA-NEWS. June 03, 2010. Reforming the livestock industry - one of the main tasks of the agrarian bloc of the Government. The statement was made by the Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Slauta today during the meeting of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine board. During the meeting the situation in the dairy and beef cattle and the measures to develop the market of dairy and meat products, as well as еру state and prospects of the pig industry were discussed.

According to Victor Slauta, in a difficult time for the country the President of Ukraine and the Ukrainian government assumed the responsibility for the further development of our state. And the first step in the agrarian bloc of the Government in such a situation was determined and coordinated action to stabilize and rebuild the industry, in particular, to ensure the work at the spring fields.

Vice Prime Minister noted that this work continues, and reforming the livestock industry is one of the main tasks of the agrarian bloc of the Government. We have already reached the adequate level of poultry, we are gradually improving the situation in pig breeding. Now we need to restore the dairy and beef cattle. Victor Slauta stressed that the Ukrainian President and the Government of Ukraine set up to address this question systematically, based on the economic motivation of business development in livestock, particularly in breeding, by foreign investment, introduction of modern innovative technologies, etc.

According to Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, our State has enough potential and opportunities for increasing the number of cattle and the market of meat and dairy products development.
