OREANDA-NEWS. June 03, 2010. Sviaz-Bank’s Series 01 bonds (official registration number of the issue 40101470B of April 2, 2007) have been added to the Mortgage List of the Bank of Russia by a resolution of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, reported the press-centre of Sviaz-Bank.

Sviaz-Bank floated its first-ever four-year bond issue on the MICEX Stock Exchange floor on April 26, 2007, to raise 2 billion rubles. On April 22, 2010, Sviaz-Bank paid interest on the twelfth coupon of its Series 01 bonds in full and on schedule. There are less than 11 months remaining before April 21, 2011, when the Bank is to redeem the issue.

“The fact that our corporate bonds have been put on the Mortgage List of the Bank of Russia is a sign of Sviaz-Bank’s financial stability and creditworthiness and of the regulator’s high rating of the quality of the Bank’s securities, and this will help increase their liquidity and appeal to investors,” said Alexei Rukavishnikov, Vice Chairman of the Bank’s Management Board.

The Mortgage List is a roll of securities accepted as collateral against loans from the Bank of Russia. Mortgage operations are among the key mechanisms for refinancing commercial banks.
