OREANDA-NEWS. June 03, 2010. In April 2010, ROSNO’s Privolzhskaya Directorate paid three large insurance compensations to the owners of damaged cars previously insured with ROSNO under MOD insurance contracts, for the total amount of 4,060,200 roubles, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

A tire blowout happened to the Volkswagen Golf Plus, manufactured in 2008, insured with ROSNO under the MOD program, resulted in a traffic accident on the Saratov — Novye Burasy highway. The Volkswagen driver failed to regain control of the vehicle and entered the opposite lane, whereafter the vehicle collided with a VAZ-2106. As a result of this traffic accident, the Volkswagen sustained significant damage and was recognized as damaged beyond repair. The insurance compensation received by the vehicle owner equaled 815,674 roubles.

Another insured accident occurred on a country highway in Cheboksary District, Republic of Chuvashia. A female driver of the Subaru Tribeca, manufactured in 2007, lost control of the vehicle, skidded in the roadside ditch and overturned. Based upon the fact of the vehicle’s constructive loss, ROSNO’s Chuvashia branch paid the Subaru owner 1,180,807 roubles.

The largest insurance compensation paid under the MOD insurance contract in April 2010 was made to the bank that had provided a loan for purchase of an Audi Q5. The vehicle, insured with ROSNO’s Nizhny Novgorod branch against theft, damage and fire, got in a traffic accident in Moscow. Leaving a parking lot on Nakhimovsky Avenue, the car owner lost control of the vehicle and collided with a road obstacle. The vehicle was damaged beyond repair and classified as total loss. The insurance compensation has amounted to 2,063,719 roubles.
