OREANDA-NEWS. June 02, 2010. Ravil Alimjanovich Urusov was appointed the general director of OAO Izhorskiye Zavody, a part of OMZ Group.

Ravil Urusov was the first deputy general director of OAO Izhorskiye Zavody since February 2010. Earlier he was a director of St. Petersburg-based Elektrosila, a subsidiary of OAO Silovye Mashiny. Before that Ravil Urusov held various managing positions at APO Yuzhuralmash and Turboatom.

Ravil Urusov has a degree from Leningrad Polytechnic Institute named after M.I. Kalinin in pressure metal processing. He started his career in PO Izhorskiye Zavody as a foreman, advancing to the power engineering production director.

“I am sure that Ravil Urusov will be able to build upon the significant results achieved by Victor Shevchenko, whose contribution into the development of the Izhora production facilities (including restoration of traditional production and implementation of new processes) was highly regarded by shareholders”, said Farid Kantserov, Izhorskiye Zavody chairman of the board.
