Kazakhstan Prepared for Own Oil Transporting through Azerbaijan
OREANDA-NEWS. June 02, 2010. Azerbaijan becomes a new knot centre for transit of hydrocarbonic raw material to the world markets.
Today, Azerbaijani Minister of industry and Energy Natig Aliyev said in Baku, Kazakhstan is ready through the Caspian transport system to carry out through Azerbaijan transit of oil from own fields Kashagan and Tengiz.
“Capacity of the system will be increased from initial 25 million tons per year to 48 million tons. Supplies will be grown from 150,000 barrels per day to 500,000 barrels per day,” N. Aliyev said.
In order to implement this program, Azerbaijan, in particular, builds a new terminal in Garadag nearby Baku.
