SITRONICS Information Technologies, one of the leading suppliers of solutions, products and services in the field of information technologies in Eastern Europe and CIS countries,, informs about successful implementation of Multiservice information educational network (MIEN) in Barnaul Upper Secondary School No.22. Altai bank of Sberbank of Russia was executive sponsor of the project, reported the press-centre of SITRONICS.
 
Presentation dedicated to results of MIEN launch was held at high level in the presence of Governor of Altai Territory Karlin Aleksandr, as well as head of administration on education and youth affairs of Altai Territory Denisov Yuri. Administration of Barnaul was represented by mayor of the city Kolganov Vladimir and chairman of committee for education Artemov Aleksandr. Chairman of Altai bank of Sberbank of Russia Pesotskij Vladimir and director of department of bank informatization Petukhov Anatoly.

Main goal of project “Virtual School” in Upper Secondary School No.22 is development of methodological potential and expansion of possibilities of teaching by means of implementation of information technologies into academic activity for cardinal increase of education quality. Report about achievements of project under which MIEN integration was realized was presented by Andrei Briunin, head of department of information educational systems of SITRONICS IT and Gromov Andrei, director of Upper Secondary School No.22.

Vice-principals, teachers and pupils of Upper Secondary School No.22 also took active part in the event. Work of school class of new generation was demonstrated to general audience in the format of school lesson. Joint lesson for biology, anatomy and mathematics was held in interactive classroom. This lesson was conducted on the basis data of digital educational resources installed on school server using Internet technologies based on equipment of mobile computer class. Also there was demonstration of services provided by unique SW developed in-house by SITRONICS IT.

As a result of implementation of MIEN project hardware and software complex School Server was deployed in Upper Secondary School No.22. 70 classrooms united into single school LAN are under control of this server. Classrooms are equipped with special interactive boards that allow to visually display explanatory materials, visuals, schemes and tasks for pupils. Just as in case with traditional school board you can write, trace and draw on such interactive board using instead of chalk electronic pencil that enables use of various fonts, regulate thickness, type and color of lines. Also we installed multimedia projectors, LCD displays and notebooks for pupils and control computers for teachers in the classrooms.

Part of interactive classrooms is universal – you can teach lessons of mathematics, history, geography and astronomy in them.  Other classrooms are oriented towards studying of physics, chemistry and biology. Besides we created mobile computer class for language laboratory. Centralized loading of learning materials from school server is realized by means Wi-Fi. “Wheeled classroom” shall unite into single inter-classroom network notebooks of pupils and mobile computer of teacher with preinstalled basic and specialized SW for collective lessons.

Upon completion of the presentation Governor of Altai Territory expressed high opinion of project and expressed interest in further development of MIEN in the Territory since such complex solutions in the long term shall allow to drastically improve quality of educational processes region-wide.

Results of the conducted event were commented by Pesotskij Vladimir, Chairman of Altai bank of Sberbank of Russia: “Education must keep pace with development of modern information technologies wherefore it is necessary to create foundations from the earliest stage of teaching. Project in Upper Secondary School No.22 is spectacular example of how we can expand possibilities of teaching by virtue of inclusion of high-tech tools and new pedagogical methods thereby providing high level of material retention. Surely we plan to develop work in this direction: investments in school educations are investments into our common future”.

Complex of work for equipment installation, setting-up and configuring of software as well as complex debugging of all MIEN subsystems was performed by SITRONICS IT team in defined terms. SITRONICS IT developed and conducted for teaching staff of Upper Secondary School No.22 training for work in MIEN environment for the purpose of quick and easy transition into use of interactive board, specialized programs and technologies designed to provide modern level for presentation of teaching material. As of now MIEN complex in Upper Secondary School No.22 is accepted for service warranty maintenance of SITRONICS IT.
