OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2010. Krasnoyarsk Shipyard (a subsidiary of the Holding Yenisey River Shipping Company) launched today the production of 150 sea containers of capacity of 30 tons ordered by MMC Norilsk Nickel OJSC (main shareholder of the YRSC Holding), the YRSC press service said.

"The demand of MMC Norilsk Nickel in these containers is 2,000 units,” says Vladimir Styvrin, the General Director of Krasnoyarsk Shipyard OJSC. “Today, our company has all necessary production facilities to accomplish such orders”.

The shipyard plans to produce 1,000 containers annually to complete the 2-year project. By the end of this year Krasnoyarsk Shipyard will be ready to construct containers for offshore transshipment to be ordered by Norilsk Nickel.

Krasnoyarsk Shipyard OJSC specializes primarily in building of self-propelled, non-self and rack vessels, ships of various modifications (and floating pontoons pontoon bridges, floating piers and ferries), as well as manufacturing of ship machinery, parts, some parts of the ship’s hull.
