TEO and Omnitel Offer New Tariffs
OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2010. Starting from June, TEO LT, AB, the largest provider of integrated telecommunication, IT and TV services in Lithuania, and Omnitel, a mobile telecommunications company, offered their customers to make internetwork calls at the tariff of 0 cents per minute.
According to Nerijus Ivanauskas, Chief Marketing Officer of TEO, customer surveys show that, if offered more favourable conditions, about a third of TEO customers would much more actively call to mobile networks. “The new offers will be particularly useful for the customers, so in the nearest future we expect a substantial growth in the traffic of telephone calls”, - N. Ivanauskas said.
“Hoping to create more favourable conditions for our customers to communicate with other operators' subscribers, we have sent cooperation proposals to all mobile operators in the country”, - N. Ivanauskas said.
“Among Omnitel customers – even 43% of the country’s companies and about a half of budgetary institutions and organizations, most of which also use fixed connection. We are therefore sure that the joint proposal with TEO will be particularly beneficial for these customers of our company, because it will allow them to save money during the recession and will create an additional value”, - Remigijus Shtaras, Vice-President, Chief Commercial Officer at Omnitel, stated.
According to R. Shtaras, in order to provide all its customers with favourable conditions to communicate with fixed-line customers, Omnitel has also submitted cooperation proposals to other fixed-line operators.
TEO has offered its residential customers a payment plan, called “Omnitel kryptis”, which, for the monthly fee of LTL 5, gives an opportunity to make calls to the network of Omnitel at the tariff of 0 cents per minute. Using this payment plan, calls to other mobile operators' networks will cost 19 cents per minute.
TEO business customers will also have the possibility to call Omnitel subscribers at the tariff of 0 cents per minute. For customers, who use a normal telephone line, subscription to a special payment plan, “Omnitel kryptis”, will cost 5 litas (excluding VAT) per month, for customers, who use the “ISDN Duetas” service, it will cost 3 litas, and for those, who use “ISDN Srautas” – 1.5 litas per month per number. Calls to other Lithuanian mobile networks will cost 20 cents per minute.
For its customers, who extend contracts with payment plans “Taupiems 3” (for residential users only) and “Neribotas”, Omnitel offers the tariff of 0 cents per minute for calls not only to the network of Omnitel, but also to that of TEO.
Omnitel customers, who use other plans, will have the possibility to make calls to the network of TEO for 0 cents after having subscribed to the “TEO kryptis” service, the normal price of which will be 9 litas per month, whereas during the current promotion campaign – 5 litas per month.
