OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2010. M2M Telematica and NIS demonstrated innovative ERA-GLONASS system during the Integrated Safety and Security Exhibition (ISSE) in Moscow.

The Integrated Safety and Security Exhibition 2010 is a wide scale integrated action of the federal executive authorities.

The 21st century is the time of challenges and menaces to the individual and State security. The necessity for integrated treatment of the country security and, consequently, of the security of every citizen is rather obvious today. In order to assure its own and its citizen's security the State is bound to develop diverse aspects simultaneously, improve the modern technologies, institute concise and effective organizational structures and train highly qualified security experts.

Pilot demonstration of the ERA-GLONASS system covered virtual accidents in the remote and difficult-access zones, with rapid response and effective coordination through the system.

The ERA-GLONASS system will be developed on the basis of GLONASS/GPS multifunctional receivers (telematics modules). ERA-GLONASS is to be used for accident urgent response.

ERA-GLONASS will help reducing accidental death rate and budget expenses for emergency response.

The project was highly evaluated by Sergey Shoigu, EMERCOM Minister, and Igor Levitin, Transport Minister.
