OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2010. Russia’s first shopping mall featuring extreme rides called Vegas is to open at the junction of Kashirskoe Highway and the MKAD highway encircling Moscow.

According to a press release by Crocus Group which is developing the structure, the total area of Vegas is to reach 400,000 square metres, including 130,000 square metres of shelf space.

The 5,000-square-metre roofed extreme amusement park included in the mall is to have an 18-metre Ferris wheel, a 19-metre free fall tower and an ice rink.

Besides, a 7,000-capacity car park is planned to be built near Vegas.

The total investment into the development is 16.7 billion roubles (~USD 556 million), including a 10.95-billion-rouble (~USD 365 million) loan from Sberbank.
