SPFU to Leave Open the Possibility for First Tender
OREANDA-NEWS. May 28, 2010. State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU) leaves open the possibility for the first tender on selling thermal power generating companies’ shares and control stake of Oblenergo in Q4 2010.
Chairman of the Fund Aleksandr RYABCHENKO added that the shares of these companies are put up for sale for the first time that is why they need to be prepared for privatization. He also said that Ministry of Fuel and Energy had proposed to trade the stakes of thermal power generating companies or control stakes of Oblenergo once a quarter.
A.RYABCHENKO noted that currently the total cost of four thermal power generating companies amounts to UAH9-9.5bln.
According to the Chairman, if they are publicly traded their realization value can rise to UAH11bln.
As UNIAN reported, at the present moment Energy Company of Ukraine NJSC holds the control stakes of four generating companies – Donbass-, Zapad-, Centr- and Denprenergo.
