OREANDA-NEWS. May 28, 2010. Ingosstrakh OJSIC won All-Russia Golden Salamandra Award in the area of insurance in two main nominations, Insurance Company of 2009 and Informationally Open Organization of the Year. The awarding ceremony took place on May 19 of the previous year in the Column Hall of Catherine’s Palace in Moscow.

The Golden Salamandra Award was established in 2004 and is a public professional award evaluating successes of insurance companies and representatives of the insurance community over the previous year. The prize is supported by the Federal Service of Insurance Supervision, Committee for Credit Organizations and Financial Markets of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Economic Development and Commerce of the Russian Federation. The activities of insurance companies of Russia are evaluated by the Expert Council, whose members are acknowledged professionals in different areas of insurance.

The prize winners were selected among insurance companies of the federal and regional levels, insurance brokers, reinsurance companies, insurance agents and also persons and organizations that have made a considerable contribution to the insurance industry development.

Selecting a winner in the Insurance Company of 2009 nomination the Expect Council considered such factors, as financial stability and reliability of the company, development of the regional network, service quality and fulfillment of obligations to the clients. As to the Informationally Open Organization of the Year nomination, the winners were selected by poll journalists specializing in insurance.

Commenting on the victory, Alexander Grigoriev, Director of Ingosstrakh, marked: “Despite the consequences of the world financial crisis and lower development rate of the national insurance industry, Ingosstrakh achieved good results in 2009.  And the main thing is that the company continued fulfilling its obligations to corporate entities and individuals in due time and in full last year. It is no secret that the population finds itself in especially complicated conditions during the crisis.
