OREANDA-NEWS. May 28, 2010. Meeting of the Minister Grigory Manuilov and Chairman of the Trout-Farmers' Association of Karelia research and development company Valery Artamonov with the managing director of the IFFT company Friedrich Esser was held in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fish Industry and Ecology of the RK. The company's specialization is farming sea species of fish in the closed cycle of water of artificial salinization.

Valery Artamonov has stated interest in construction of the module to farm sturgeons in the quantity of 200 tons a year, and has asked German partners to assess prospects and costs of construction.

During negotiations the methodology of breeding, as well as the prospect of installation of closed-type modules in territory of Karelia were discussed.

On results of the meeting it is planned to sign the protocol of intentions and to continue the further consultations.
