OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2010. CJSC "Atomstroyexport" and Tszyansus nuclear power corporation (JNPC) signed Statements of final acceptance of the 1-st and 2-nd power units of Tyanvan NPP. From the customer, the documents were signed by general director of JNPC Tzyan Goyuan, from general contractor – first vice-president of CJSC "Atomstroyexport" Alexander Nechaev, as it was reported in ASE.

First stage of Tyanvan NPP includes two power units with WWER-1000 reactor installations of electric power 1060 MW each. Power unit No.1 was transferred to the customer on 2 June of 2007, power unit No.2 — on 12 September, 2007, and on 12 September of 2009 two-years warranty operation of the first stage was finished. "Tyanvan NPP today is the most powerful and safe nuclear power plant in China, reliable, stable, with good performance data",- declared A.Nechaev after signing of documents. According to him, trust of Chinese specialists to Russian nuclear power technologies is "at the best level". "Execution of project of Tyanvan NPP gave CJSC „Atomstroyexport“ the most important references: nowadays Atomstroyexport is the only company in the world having functioning power units of the new generation to its credit". In engineering sense, Tyanvan NPP is a unique combination of the best Russian and European technologies.

Reactor building has double cover, under reactor vessel "trap" is installed that is able to halt and cool down melted reactor core. China became the first country having such device. At the plant four-channel structure of security systems is installed, combination of active and passive protection devices is applied, digital system of control and management functions. Total two-years warranty period of operation of Tyanvan NPP expired in 2009, however, as noticed A. Nechayev, for some units of equipment "Atomstroyexport" established prolonged warranty period.

For instance, five-years period of warranty operation is established for primary coolant pumps (PCP). "It is related to that for the first time in world practice at Tyanvan NPP PCPs of new type – with water instead of oil cooling were used", — explained A.Nechayev, having added that PCPs of new construction nowadays work invariably. He also emphasized that cooperation with Chinese customer will be continued: on 23 March "Atomstroyexport" and JNPC signed framework contract for construction of the second stage of Tyanvan NPP. At that power units No. 3,4 will be erected under project similar to that of the first stage of NPP "Tyanvan": two power units with reactor installations WWER-1000 of electric power 1000 MW each.
