OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2010. Belarus will create Belselkhoznadzor department with the Agriculture Ministry under presidential ordnance #236, the press service of the president reported.

“Belselkhoznadzor will incorporate the organizations of the Agriculture Ministry performing controlling functions, including the veterinary inspection, seed and quarantine and crop protection inspection, and the state bread inspection. Also, the department will include the central state inspection for veterinary supervision with territorial branches,” the statement reads.

Belselkhoznadzor creation is necessitated by the fact that state control and monitoring functions are often combined with executive and regulatory functions.
