OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2010. Belarus’ consumer prices went up 0.7% on the month in April 2010, compared to a rise by 1.1% in March, 0.5% in February and 0.8% in January, an official in the National Statistics Committee told.

Prices rose 3.1% in January-April 2010, compared to 6.5% in January-April 2009.

In annualized terms, that is, April on April, consumer prices rose 6.5%, which compares to 14.6% in the period April 2008 through April 2009.

Food prices rose 1% in April 2010 and 3.2% in January-April 2010, non-food prices went up 0.4% and 3.5%, and consumer services prices increased 0.3% and 2.3%.

In 2009, inflation accelerated 10.1%. The forecast for 2010 stands at 9%-10%.
