OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2010. The chiefs of “UK Siberian generating company”, LLC, OJSC “Yeniseyskaya TGC (TGC-13)” and JSC “Kuzbassenergo” and their branches discussed the issues of industrial safety at production, at the meeting which took place on April 26 - 27. Vladimir Popov – chief engineer of UK “SGC” declared the year of 2010 the year of Industrial safety at power facilities of Yeniseyskaya TGC and Kuzbassenergo.

The figure of expenses for occupational safety in Yeniseyskaya TGC exceeds the industry average figure by 42, 5%. In 2009 RUR 24 148 were allocated for the occupational safety in Yeniseyskaya TGC, with a view to one employee. Inclusively the actual expenses for the provision of one employee by personal safety equipment amounted to RUR 3 275/person.

In spite of the positive results the chiefs of power companies are convinced I necessity of the level increase of production safety: the power production is potentially dangerous and that’s why the occupational safety here was always paid a special attention. Besides that the raised attention to this aspect of the power companies’ activity is preconditioned by stricter norms year in year out and also the tighten control of oversight bodies.

Andrey Evdokimov, Director of Krasnoyarskaya TPP-3: “It’s necessary to make a strict control over observance of operational safety of contractor organizations working at our facilities”.

The participants of the meeting noted that to increase labor safety at power facilities it’s necessary to single out an objective being primary not only for the company but for each employee. Besides that chiefs of power companies told their opinions in favor of the establishment of a special system of occupational safety at production. In the opinion of the present people this system must contain both elements of up-bringing of an employee’s personal responsibility and a series of such arrangements aimed at increasing occupational safety and its control. As the arrangements the following ones were singled out: the mutual checks of observance of industrial safety rules between JSC “Kuzbassenergo” and JSC “Yeniseyskaya TGC (TGC-13)”, the development of strict measures in relation to violators of safety measures and incentive measures for those people who observe these rules; the organization of competitions between workshops, teams, shifts for the title of the best person as the knowledge of safety rules etc.

Director General of “UK Siberian generating company”, LLC Sergey Mironosetsky made an accent in the concluding report on the necessity of not only safety rules and occupational safety observance by each employee but the establishment of a special culture in this relation, at the level of establishment of traditions and patterns.
