OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2010. Andrei Konovalov has been appointed Executive Director of ROSVODOKANAL Group of Companies, prior to this he headed the Middle Volga Directorate of the Federal Rostekhnadzor (Russian Technical Inspectorate) Service.

As Executive Director Andrei Konovalov will manage the ROSVODOKANAL Group operating activities (production and technical sections, sales and procurement, power systems).

Andrei A. Konovalov was born in Novokuibyshevsk, the Samara Region.In 1985 he graduated from the Kuibyshev Polytechnical Institute majoring in chemical production machinery and equipment. He holds the Master of Science (Technical) degree.In various periods Andrei Konovalov worked for oil-refining enterprises in the region, he headed Samaraneftekhimremservice Limited Company, a petrochemical maintenance and service works, and the Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery awarded the Order of Lenin.In 1999 - 2000 he was the first deputy head for economics and finance of the Novokuibyshevsk City Administration.He was elected a deputy of the Samara Provincial Duma (Parliament) of the Fourth Convocation.Andrei Konovalov holds the titles of the Honorary Management Doctor awarded by the ADM Business Consulting International Association, the Merited Worker of the Russian Federation Fuel and Energy Ministry, the Honorary Oilman, the Honorary Petrochemical Industry Worker.He has been awarded the Certificate of Honor by the Russian Federation Fuel and Energy Ministry, the Merit Badge and the Fellowship in the Name of Rescue Medal by the Russian Federation Emergency Situations Ministry, Peter the Great Labor Valor Medal, Peter the Great Badge of Honor Order, the Gold Outstanding Labor Medal, the Honorary Medal For Achievements in Environmental Protection, the Merit Badge of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Merit Badge For Achievements in Lawmaking of the Samara Provincial Duma, the 290 Years of Rostekhnadzor Commemorative Medal.Andrei Konovalov was recognized as the "Best Director" by the World Refining Association (2001). He was also included among "Most Professional Managers" by the Russian Managers Association (2004).For his professionalism in management he was awarded the Gold Medal and the Business Leader Diploma.Andrei Konovalov has authored over 30 innovatory projects, he holds patents for several inventions in the petrochemical industry.
