OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2010. Yandex opens a Sales Office in Novosibirsk. Advertisers in Siberian Federal District now have a local sales branch in their region to place their ads on Yandex. The new regional office in Novosibirsk will concentrate on promoting Yandex’s advertising products to help Siberian advertisers make the most of them.

According to FOM, the number of monthly internet users in Siberia reaches 5 million. About 90% of intenet audience in Russia’s regions use Yandex, according to TNS Russia. This trend of internet usage makes display and contextual ads one of the most effective sales channels in the region. Using advertising solutions provided by Yandex, advertisers can cover a wide audience and reach a very specific group of people at that very moment, when they are interested in the advertised product.

According to AKAR, during the first three months of 2010, Russia’s contextual ad market grew 42%, which is many times over than any other segment of the ad market. This growth is driven by both the efficiency of contextual ads and by that fact that the pricing is automatically regulated by the market, in the most client-friendly manner: advertisers can adjust their bids and boost their sales even if their advertising budget is quite modest,” says Alexei Tretiakov, Chief Sales and Business Development Officer of Yandex. “Siberian contextual ad market is growing even faster than Russia’s contextual ad market overall, with the local growth exceeding 65% year-over-year, which shows great promise for future development”.

The new Sales Office in Novosibirsk will be servicing advertising customers both directly and through partner agencies. Currently, Yandex’s partner agencies in Novosibirsk total to more that 50, which is almost twice as many as a year ago. The sales staff at the Yandex’s partner agencies in Novosibirsk can now receive consulting and training right on site, at the company’s new regional Sales Office.
