OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2010. "The National Depository Center" (Closed Joint Stock Company) (NDC), Russia's only settlement depository servicing the full range of debt and equity securities of Russian issuers, reports that it has won a prize “For Development of EDI in 2009” in a Professional Contest “Infrastructural Institute-2009” held by Professional Association of Registrars, Transfer Agents and Depositories (PARTAD) jointly with Securities Market (Rynok Tsennykh Bumag) Magazine. The award ceremony has been held on 20 May in Minsk, Belarus.

NDC has been also awarded honorary diplomas “Infrastructural Institute-2009”, “For High Quality Services in 2009” and ”For Contribution into Improvement of PARTAD’s Regulations and Standards in 2009.”

Among organizations nominated to the prize “For Development of EDI in 2009” were settlement institutions which achieved great success in the sphere of EDI technologies development and implementation.

NDC is a leading depository with regard to EDI organization between depositories, registrars and other stock market participants. NDC gradually increases EDI share in its document flow; the company expanded a number of its contractors using EDI for 2009 by 8 registrars and 5 specialized depositories. Share of NDC’s operations in registers of joint stock companies using EDI reached 87% of all NDC’s operations in joint stock companies’ registers.
