OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2010. Depository Clearing Company (DCC) participated in the VIII Professional Conference ‘Securities Market Infrastructure 2010', which was held in Minsk on May 20-21, 2010.

The conference was arranged by the Professional Association of Registrars, Transfer Agents and Depositories (PARTAD) in cooperation with The Securities Market Magazine.

The Conference was organized to discuss the evolution of the Russian legislation and regulation of infrastructure institutions in the stock market; to share experience in development and implementation of electronic document interchange standards; and to talk about schemes for special depository accounting in the collective investments market and clearing in the securities market.

In his speech Sergey Bernevega, the head of registrar relations at DCC, introduced the new service, ‘Comfortable Re-registration', offered by DCC to facilitate interaction between registrars and custodians and to elaborate the formats and procedures for exchange of messages which would be comfortable for both sides. The new service allows a significant cut in transactional costs and labor costs of shareholder listing and enables comfortable interaction of market participants and registrars.

On May 20, in the framework of the conference, prizes were given to the winners and nominees of the professional Infrastructural Institute of the Year 2010 Award conducted by PARTAD in collaboration with The Securities Market Magazine.

DCC was recognized the prizewinning depository in the category 'The Best Service Quality in 2009'. DCC was also presented the letters of award in the categories 'For EDI Development' and ‘For Contributing to the Improvement of PARTAD Norms and Standards'.
