OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2010. Air Astana has launched KCTV which will make your time on board more comfortable, interesting and informative, reported the press-centre of Air Astana.

KCTV is a personal, digital, on-demand media system for our premium Business Class passengers. The system allows passengers to start and stop their in-flight entertainment (IFE) as they choose and offers a great selection of movies, television, music and games. Our plans are to launch the service in the next few months on selected routes before expanding it on additional routes.

What is the difference between on-board entertainment programs and playback equipment for Business Class and Economy Class? The main difference is that on B767-300ER aircraft of Air Astana, Business Class has Personal Television, or PTV, which allows a passenger to choose between different movies, though not on demand. With the introduction of KCTV, eventually all our Business Class passengers will have personal digital media players which allow a large library to be accessed on demand. In Economy Class, we show movies and television on our overhead screens and also offer eight music channels via our in-seat channel system.

KCTV demonstrates the airline's commitment to continuous improvement of quality of services, including improving the program of entertainment on board. We consider our products and services, what our competitors are doing and world standards in our efforts to make Air Astana among the best. We invite you to enjoy an excellent selection of 50 audio programmes, 18 film programmes and 6 game channels.
