Moldova Launched National Business Agenda-2010
OREANDA-NEWS. May 25, 2010. As it was stated at the international conference "National Business Agenda 2010: the provocations of crisis to new opportunities for economic growth," by the CEO of IDIS Viitorul Igor Munteanu, the National Business Agenda is a joint initiative of the private environment and expert society of Moldova, which aims at a precise definition of the priorities of social and economic development.
The most powerful business associations in Moldova took an active part in establishing the priorities of economic policy in 2010. In 2010 the National Business Agenda includes 30 members representing various areas of economy. The National Business agenda identifies three main areas to be addressed: fiscal policy, imports facilitation, export and customs procedures and increase in the access to finance as well as provides specific solutions proposed by the business community and the national experts.
As it was stated during the conference by the NBM president Dorin Dragutanu, as regards the access to finance Moldova ranks the last in the region on this indicator. However, the money to economic agents should be provided not by the National Bank, but shall be achieved through the capital market development. Dorin Dragutanu stressed that: the "National Bank may indirectly affect the business environment, reducing interest rates, ensuring the stability of economy and prices," said the head of the National Bank.
According to him, the entrepreneurs should be understood that any activity entails risks, and should help themselves in the correct assessment and management of these risks. "Then the willingness of the bankers to provide loans will increase credit," said Doreen Dragutanu.
