OREANDA-NEWS. May 24, 2010. Training courses for development of social skills and management competences accomplished at Public Company ORLEN Lietuva. The cycle of lectures and seminars lasted from September, last year, till the middle of May of the current year, reported the press-centre of ORLEN Lietuva.

Managers were provided knowledge on teamwork management, leadership and work organization; specialists – efficient work time planning, self-education and team-working skills. The subjects were selected upon questioning the Company’s middle level managers and specialists on what personal skills they would like to improve.

190 employees (97 managers and 93 specialists) of Public Company ORLEN Lietuva took part in the training; each of them attended a 72 academic hour course.

‘I would like to rejoice at the fact that, irrespective of the crisis, structural funds of the European Union make it possible for our employees to improve their professional skills through relevant training programs. Improvement of employees’ skills, development of their work-related competences is one of the top priorities of the Company’, said Ireneusz Fafara, General Director of Public Company ORLEN Lietuva.

The trainings were financed with EU funds, and organized by the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists; whereas, employees of Public Company ORLEN Lietuva were trained by lecturers from Center of Business and Legal Consultations (ETKC).
