OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2010. As part of TNK-BP’s policy of staff rotation, Valery Batrashkin has been appointed executive director of OJSC Orenburgneft (a subsidiary of TNK-BP), reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

Valeriy Petrovich Batrashkin was born on 19th August 1964 in the village of Mikhaylovka in the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1986 he graduated from the Ufa Oil Institute as a specialist in technology and comprehensive mechanization of oil and gas field development. He began his career in the Nizhnevartovskneft oil and gas production directorate as an oil and gas production operator and worked his way up to the position of General Director of OJSC TNK-Nizhnevartovsk.

The previous general director of Orenburgneft, Aleksandr Berman, has been transferred to the position of TNK-BP Vice President, Major Projects Downstream.
