OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2010. As it was informed in ANRE, its consumption has increased by 11,8% and reached 507.4 million cubic meters. The specialists of the agency explain this trend by the increase in the gas consumption by all categories of consumers.

The biggest increase was registered among the household consumers, businesses and energy sector enterprises. The gas consumption of the households, compared with I quarter of 2009 has increased by 12,2% and reached 163.8 million cubic meters, and the gas consumption by economic entities and energy sector enterprises has increased by 12% and 11,7%, respectively, and reached 83,9 million and 229.4 million cubic meters. In January-March 2010 the amounts of gas consumed by the budgetary institutions totaled 30.3 million cubic meters or 9,4% more than in the first three months of 2009.

During the reporting period, the highest share in the structure of gas consumption in Moldova - 45,2% -accounts for the energy companies. The share of households amounted to 32,3%, economic entities - 16.5%, budgetary institutions - 6%. According to ANRE, in I quarter 2010 the actual purchasing price of the natural gas amounted to USD231.71 per 1 thousand cubic meters. In II quarter the purchasing price has grown up to USD 252 per 1 thousand cubic meters.
