SOCAR to Provide Gas Supply to Georgian Poti City in 2010
OREANDA-NEWS. May 20, 2010. The SOCAR Georgia Gas LLC, a specialized subsidiary business unit of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Georgia, has held presentation of the project of gasification of the city in Poti.
SOCAR informed, during 2010 it is planned to construct a gas network of Poti by laying 158 kilometres of gas lines. New21,000 subscribers will added in client network of the city upon completion of the work. In addition, it is planned to gasify 174 facilities of various designation.
The presentation was attended by Georgian Minister of Energy Alexander Xetaguri, SOCAR Energy Georgia Director General Mahir Mammadov. .SoCaR Georgia Gas intends to involve in servicing 150,000 new subscribers and to provide gas supply to 30 cities and districts within the framework of the three-year program (2009-2011).
