OREANDA-NEWS. May 20, 2010. Bank has signed an agreement with Nikoil Bank on possibility of performance of immediate money transfers with use of CardTransfer feature, between the plastic cards issued by both banks, reported the press-centre of IBA.

According to Rauf Agayev, head of press-service of the IBA, the Bank continues the development of the service range and infrastructure of electronic banking.

One of the most popular e-banking services, according to R. Agayev, is the CardTransfer service, which allows the holders of the cards issued by IBA to perform immediate transfers from card to card. These days the list of bank, which clients may perform such transfers the Nikoil Bank was added. Thus, the infrastructure of the CardTransfer service includes already 9 banks, among which is IBA-Moscow, AtaBank, Bank Respublika, Bank of Azerbaijan, Rabitabank, AGBank, Bank Standard.

CardTransfer is in always growing demand. Thus, in the first quarter of 2009 there were performed 3.7 transfers using the CardTransfer for the total amount of 2.1 million manats, by the 4th quarter of the same year these numbers have been equal to 5.1 mln. and 2.4 mln. respectively. In total, during 2009 have been performed 17.3 mln. transfers for the amount of 8.9 mln. manats. For comparison, in 2008 same indicators have been equal to 8.5 mln. transfers for the amount of 4.1 mln. manats - R. Agayev has informed.

As R. Agayev has noted, among the services of electronic banking from IBA is the only in kind the service on payment for air tickets using all remote service means- ATM, Information Booth, Mobile Telephone, Internet Banking system. Clients of IBA and SilkWay Travel have a capability to call to travel agency and perform the distance payment with support of IBA not leaving their home or offices to purchase the e-ticket and use it in airport. This is a revolutionary service on our market which will help to save times to travellers.

In addition, R. Agayev has reminded that among the services available under the electronic banking are the payments for services of the mobile operators "Azercell", "Bakcell" and "NAR Mobile", electricity bills from "Bakuelectricshebeke", internet providers Elcell, Azeronline and Adanet as well as "Aztelekom".

As R. Agayev has informed the positive trend was maintained in e-payments and transfers and it will be so within next 3-4 years. Thus, if during 2007 by all channels of electronic banking have been performed 243.8 thousand operations for the amount of 4.88 mln. manats, in 2008 the number of all operations have been equal to 366.3 thousand (growth for 33.4%), and their total amount was equal to 7.97 mln. manats (growth for 38.8%). The positive dynamics have been maintained also during 2009: 498.7 thousand transactions for the total amount of 13.6 mln. manats. During the 1st quarter of 2010 the number of transactions has exceeded 117 thousand and total amount was equal to 2.7 mln. manats.
