OREANDA-NEWS. May 18, 2010. Russian ice hockey team players participating in 2010 World Championship in Germany are insured by Ingosstrakh Life Insurance Company – the subsidiary of Ingosstrakh OJSIC. They are insured under annual cooperation agreement between Ice Hockey Federation of Russia and Ingosstrakh OJSIC for season 2009 - 2010. The agreement was signed in August 2009.

The insurance covers such risks as death from accident and death from disease, disability from accident, trauma, from accident surgery.  Insured amounts for each player as for accident death and death from disease are 120.000 USD, as for accident disability – 100.000 USD, as for trauma – 60.000 USD and as for accident surgery - 40.000 USD.

Ingosstrakh has been the official partner of the Ice Hockey Federation of Russia for four years. Ingosstrakh is the official insurer of the Ice Hockey Federation of Russia, a partner of the Russian national ice-hockey team and of the junior Russian team. In 2008 and 2009 the players of the Russian team who triumphed at the 2008 and 2009 Ice Hockey World Championships in Canada and Switzerland were also insured by Ingosstrakh-Life. During World Championship matches some players got injured. The insurer fully performed its obligations and paid the athletes’ treatment expenses.

The players of the Russian team at the two latest World Championships showed that our hockey has not only a glorious past, but a great future as well.
