OREANDA-NEWS. May 18, 2010. Belarus’ fruit and vegetable juice imports increased 9% on the year in January-March 2010, to 7,062 tonnes worth USD 8.914 million, up 5% on the year in monetary terms, the Statistics Committee told.

Russian juice imports went up 2% on the year to 2,993 tonnes, which cost USD 3.295 million, an increase of 11%.

Imports from Ukraine rose 41% in January-March to 1,642 tonnes worth USD 1.267 million, a rise by 9%, and from Azerbaijan reached 79.6 tonnes, down 21%, worth USD 326,300.

The main non-CIS suppliers were Israel with 1,244 tonnes, down 4%, worth USD 2.237 million, down 8%, and Brazil with 305 tonnes to the amount of USD 581,800.
