OREANDA-NEWS. May 18, 2010. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) keeps working on utilization of associated gas.

Soltan Aliyev, SOCAR’s vice president for ecology, says that they have plans to collect entire associated gas, utilize it and prevent its emission or flaring.

“We are conducting constant work on the occasion. Now we are specifying other opportunities for that,” he said.

He also emphasized significance of that from angle of observation of the Kyoto Protocol.
