Krasnoy Sormovo Shipyard Launches Oral
OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2010. Oil tanker project 19619 "ORAL" was launched at Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard (MNP Group). The tanker has been built under order KAZMORTRANSFLOT (Kazakhstan). The contract for construction of three tankers of 13,000 DWT was signed in April, 2009. The first tanker “Atyrau” was handed to the customer in September 2009; the second tanker “Altobe” accomplished see trials in April 2010.
According to the contract the delivery date of first tanker is September, 2009, the second – May, 2010, third – August, 2010.
At present this tanker of project 19619 is the largest in the Caspian Sea, capable of entering any port without port terminal re-equipment. The design of the tanker was worked out by Engineering Bureau of MNP Group (at present – Volgo-Caspian Design Bureau). Tanker of 13,000 DWT is designed for transportation of crude oil and oil products with flash point less than 60 Celsius degrees. Double side and double bottom of the hull (fitted with ballast compartments) prevent from oil spillage at accident. Technical features: length – 150 m, beam – 17.3 m, draft – 7.0 m.
MNP Group incorporates the leading Russian shipyard - Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard (Nizhniy Novgorod) as well as Volgo-Caspian Design Bureau and Sormovskoye Mashinostroeniye (Nizhniy Novgorod).
