OREANDA-NEWS. May 13, 2010. The problems of power efficiency and professional training for the power industry specialists have become the most discussed at the XVII International specialized exhibition "Energetika and Elektrotechnika" , conducted in  "Lenexpo" complex on May 11-14, 2010.

These problems are also discussed at the conference of "IDGC Holding" "Power Distribution Complex of the Russian Federation: present conditions, problems and solutions", conference and seminar of St. Petersburg Agrarian University "Actual issues of power engineering: powers saving and efficiency, reliability and personnel training" and at many other events.

As Tatyana Surkova, JSC "Lenexpo" deputy Director General, said at the opening ceremony "Energetika and Elektrotechnika" is the largest Russian project in this field. This year the exhibition gathers over 300 companies from 11 countries: Russian, Belarus, hungary, germany, Italy, china and others".

Opening ceremony was also attended by Oleg Trishkin, the chairman of St. Petersburg Committee for power and engineering supply, Alexander Olkhovsky, the deputy of St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly, Vladimir Katenev, the chairman of St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Pavel Okley, the deputy director of "IDGC Holding", Alexander Grimitlin, the president of Association of heating, ventilation, conditioning, heating supply and construction physics engineers, and Alexey Tregubov, the vice-president of North-West Union of Power Engineers.

The exhibition is accompanied by a rich business program with conferences, round tables, seminars and presentations. Conference invitations have been sent to the representatives of the Russian Power Ministry, Ministry for Economic Development, Ministry for Industrial Trade, the administrations of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region, leading engineers and technical specialists of MRSK subsidiaries, heads and specialists of the largest Russian and foreign power companies, scientific and educational institutions, and veterans of Russian power distribution industry. The awarding ceremony for veterans, timed to the 9th of May celebrations, and reports, introduced by the representatives of Russian and foreign companies, will take place at the conference.
