Datagroup Offers Dr.Web Anti-Virus Service to Its Subscribers
OREANDA-NEWS. May 12, 2010. The large Ukrainian telecom provider Datagroup deployed Dr.Web AV-Desk on its servers and started delivering the Dr.Web anti-virus service to customers. Now more than 20 000 subscribers can appreciate all benefits of an SaaS anti-virus.
Datagroup chose Dr.Web AV-Desk mainly because of its simple integration procedure that distinguishes it from competitive solutions from other vendors. Dr.Web AV-Desk with its instantaneous subscription in the personal area, timely and completely free updating of virus databases and software components and professional technical support from the vendor has a very good chance to become popular among Datagroup’s subscribers.
Users are offered to choose between three subscription packages matching different demands to anti-virus security: Dr.Web Classic, Dr.Web Standard enhanced with anti-spam and Dr.Web Premium reinforced with the Parental Control and HTTP Monitor.
It’s not only subscribers who benefit from the service but the provider too. “An important advantage of the SaaS business model is that the service offered to customers meets present day technical requirements and regular updating allows keeping it that way. Introduction of a new service increases ARPU”, Alexei Ribalchenko, the project manager of Datagroup said.
Doctor Web was the first anti-virus vendor that offered an anti-virus as a service on the Russian market.
Deployment of Dr.Web AV-Desk allows subscribers of a service provider to use Dr.Web anti-virus as a service: choose a desired subscription period, renew their subscription automatically and therefore plan how much they are going to spend on anti-virus security. Providing an anti-virus as a service ensures its instant delivery and easy management of a subscription for home users and business customers. Dr.Web AV-Desk was released by Doctor Web in 2007.
