OREANDA-NEWS. May 12, 2010. Exports to EU market makes 50,8% of the total Moldovan exports in the first three months of this year compared with 55,1% in 2009.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the volume of supplies has increased to Turkey (2,8 times), Greece (2,9 times), UK (41.7%), and Italy (14,6%). At the same time, the import from EU amounted to USD305.8 million, 11.8% more than in 2009, or 40,1% of the total imports (36,3% - in January-March 2009).

As a result of significant gap between exports and imports rates in January-March 2010 a trade balance deficit totaled USD 146.7 million compared to USD 119.4 million in 2009.
