Moldova Govt Adopted Regulations for FEZ Balti
OREANDA-NEWS. May 07, 2010. As the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar has specified, the document is necessary for successful implementation of the Law on FEZ "Balti". The regulations establish powers, rights and duties of the Chief Administrator of FEZ "Balti", as well as the residents of the named zone, describes the procedure of collection payments and zonal fees as well as other issues.
As it was informed before, FEZ "Balti" was established in 2010 for 25 years period, with total area of 11.85 ha. Its main objective is formation of the industrial center in Balti, attraction of investment and promotion of advanced technologies that would create new jobs and new opportunities for the machine-building industry, expand export potential and solve socio-economic problems. It is planned that FEZ "Balti" will focus on sorting, packing, marking of goods transiting through the customs territory of Moldova.
The chief resident of FEZ "Balti" will become an enterprise with foreign investments Dra Draexlmaier Automotive, established in Moldova by the large German concern Draexlmaier. The company will produce goods for engineering industry, in particular, car parts. Within the frames of the first economic projects it is planned to make the investments worth USD25 million and to create from 5 thousand up to 7 thousand of the new jobs.
It is planned to obtain sales of the industrial products at a rate of 0.5 billion leis. At the same time, 90% of the total output will be exported. Dra Draexlmaier Automotive will reconstruct and prepare for lease zones to the other residents that are ready to implement the investment projects. The company will also hold negotiations with the potential investors who are prepared to work in FEZ "Balti".
