The Central Bank statistics (as of 1 April 2010) shows that TOP 5 of domestic banks has overall assets for AZN 7.325 bn or 60.89% of all assets of banking system (AZN 12.03 bn). AZN 2.676 bn of assets or 22.25% of their overall volume on the sector falls on the share of banks occupying 6-15 places and AZN 1.527 bn  or 12.7%) on the banks holding 16-30 places.

Only AZN 500.2 million of assets or 4.16% of their volume falls on the share of 16 banks ranking from 31st to 46th place. At the same time assets of this group of banks are less than assets of each of the first and second private banks of the country. Under such conditions sense and efficiency of their activities cause questions.
