Vopak E.O.S. to Incorporate Pakterminal
OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2010. The transit company Vopak E.O.S. is about to incorporate Pakterminal and Dipping, operators of oil terminals in Maardu and Muuga outside Tallinn.
Pakterminal and Dipping concluded merger agreements with Vopak E.O.S. on Feb. 8, it appears from data of the securities register.
The consolidation was confirmed by Vopak E.O.S. The change is expected to become effective in mid-May, the company said.
Vopak E.O.S. CEO Arnout Lugtmeijer said all employees of Pakterminal will stay on at Vopak E.O.S.
Vopak E.O.S. acquired Pakterminal in August 2008 through an exchange of shares.
Vopak E.O.S., formerly known as E.O.S., issued in 2008 new shares to acquire Pakterminal and swapped them for the Dutch group Royal Vopak's holding in Dipping. Dipping is the sole shareholder in Pakterminal.
The transaction gave Royal Vopak 50 percent of Vopak E.O.S. The remaining 50 percent is controlled by Russia's N-Trans.
Pakterminal has a terminal at Estonia's main merchant port of Muuga east of Tallinn with 33 tanks for heavy and light oil products with a total capacity of 303,000 cubic meters.
Besides the Pakterminal facility, Vopak E.O.S. has the terminals of Termoil and Trendgate. The combined capacity of the three terminals amounts to 951,000 cubic meters. Vopak E.O.S. also owns the railway company E.R.S.
