OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2010. As it was informed in the Ministry of Economy of Moldova, as compared to 2000, by late 2009 the volume of investments attracted to FEZ has grown by 6,6 times.

At the same time, investment in FEZ last year amounted to about USD4,6 million. Of the total investments, USD 48,7 million account for FEZ "Expo-Business-Chisinau", USD 34,2 million– for FEZ "Ungheni-Business", USD 15,1 million- for FEZ "Taraclia", USD 12,4 million- for FEZ "Tvardita" and USD 10,6 million- for FEZ "Valcanes".

The largest volume of investment was made in FEZ "Otaci-Business" - USD 2,6 million. As of January 1, 2010, 14 free economic zones of Moldova had 146 residents and the number of their employees exceeds 3 thousand people. The largest number of employees works in FEZ "Ungheni-Business" (1095) and FEZ "Expo-Business-Chisinau" (1183).
