Russian USC Posts 2009’s Net Income at USD 3.130 mn
OREANDA-NEWS. May 05, 2010. United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) ended up 2009 with a net income at 92 million rubles (approx. USD 3.130m) against 9 billion rubles of net loss a year earlier, the Russ. Govt. press service reports quoting the USC’s President Roman Trotsenko at his meeting with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
"This is not much as our annual turnover edges USD 150 billion, but a lot better versus 2008’s 9 billion loss. This is the first year that we’ve finished with a profit", Roman Trotsenko was quoted as saying.
"We can say that the first anti-crisis phase, the most complicated, has been over and we currently have a difficult, but a stable situation, which allows us to grow", Mr. Trotsenko said.
Open Joint Stock Company United Shipbuilding Corporation was founded in 2007. The corporation is comprised of three regional shipbuilding centers: Western Shipbuilding Center OJSC (St. Petersburg), The Northern Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair OJSC (Severodvinsk), Far Eastern Center of Shipbuilding and Repair OJSC (Vladivostok), as well as several Project&Design Offices.
