OREANDA-NEWS. May 05, 2010. OJSC "SUN InBev" announces the events dedicated to the World day of labour protection which is to be celebrated on April, 28th. Within the limits of these events in all Russian breweries of the company there will be presented the results of project realisation on labour protection and industrial safety. In particular, thanks to their introduction an indicator of industrial traumatism in the company has been reduced by 93 % in last two years, reported the press-centre of SUN InBev.

Annually on the breweries of the company there are held Safety Days, unprecedented on their scales. All the employees, from heads to industrial workers, take part in them. Thus, this year more than 85% of "SUN InBev" industrial staff left the places of their work for the whole day to participate in trainings and to get acquainted with innovations in this sphere. The special attention was paid to the study of experience in the brewers of the "AB InBev" concern and possibilities of its adaptation in Russia.

The basis of today's events are round tables talks with participation of the company representatives, authorities, inspection and oversight bodies, trade unions. There will also take place Open days, in the course of which the experience of the company concerning international standards of safe production will be shared with the specialists. There will take place a signing of the charter on labour safety between the employees and the employer. It contains mutual obligations on development of labour protection system. The document signing became a tradition which helps to build long-term partner relations between the staff and administration.

The events on maintenance of industrial safety in breweries have become the next step after the recent announcement of the targets on ecological safety made by the company. In particular, by the end of 2010 "SUN InBev" plans to reach 95% in the level of industrial waste recycling (88 % in 2009). It is planned to lower carbon dioxide emission and energy usage by 10% on per each hl of production.

All these projects are realised within the limits of corporate philosophy Better World. It is directed on formation of more perfect environment, decrease of negative influence on the environment, realisation of social projects in regions where the company enterprises are situated, formation of responsible drinking culture in Russia.
