Investments in Orange Company in Moldova to Make USD 40 mln
OREANDA-NEWS. May 05, 2010. As the press-service of the government has informed, it was declared by the president of Orange group in Europe Olaf Swantee at the meeting with the PM of Moldova Vladimir Filat. Olaf Swantee has emphasized interest of the company in further development of telecommunication market of Moldova and noted readiness to perform large investments.
It is planned that the investments planned for 2010 will allow to open new jobs and raise efficiency of services. Olaf Swantee has shown PM the diploma received by Orange group in Europe at the World Congress on Communication in Barcelona for introduction of advanced technology of mobile communication HD Voice. Vladimir Filat welcomed projects and planned investments of Orange group having noted, that the government will render all necessary support.
He has noted that at a stage of preparation there is a large project in the field of information technologies which will be introduced for the support of the World bank. Vladimir Filat has told, that he will insist on liberalization of the national economy, including, sectors of communication. PM has noted that communications is one of sensitive branches, but key one, which influences economic processes, and the authorities will give all necessary support for its development.
Vladimir Filat has told that Moldova has a good level of development of telecommunication infrastructure, professional training and youth, and it can render qualitative services. " Moldova can be a strategic platform, the bridge between the East and the West in this area ", - it has told.
