Belarusian Oil Refineries Need Prompt Upgrading
OREANDA-NEWS. May 04, 2010. The Belarusian oil refineries should be upgraded in the shortest possible time, Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky stated at a session at the Mozyr Oil Refinery.
According to the Premier, the major facilities of the Mozyr Oil Refinery that will make the depth of oil processing reach 92% need to be completed by the end of the year.
Sergei Sidorsky stressed that the development of the products that will be competitive on the global market is the major reason for streamlining the national oil refineries.
According to the Prime Minister, the petrol desulphurization line will be installed at the Mozyr Oil Refinery in May. The company will be able to produce petrol compliant with the Euro-5 standard. After the diesel fuel hydro-treating equipment is installed in late 2010, this fuel will become competitive at the European market.
The participants of the session considered a wide range of issues related to the oil refining industry of the country.
