Moldova May Get Loan from International Development Association
OREANDA-NEWS. May 04, 2010. The Moldovan government has approved the commencement of negotiations on signing the credit agreement with the established group of negotiators, headed by the Minister of Finance Veaceslav Negruta.
He noted that according to the preliminary agreements, these funds will be allocated to Moldova for 20 years with 10 years deferment of payments under 0.75% p.a.. The money will be used to support the short-term governmental policy, the Program of stabilization and economic recovery, by covering the expenditure priorities for economic reconstruction and social protection by promoting exports and private investment.
It is planned that funds of the loan after approval and signature of the named credit agreement between the Government and the WB will be directed to the state budget of Moldova in autumn 2010.
