OREANDA-NEWS. April 30, 2010.  E.On Ruhrgas has submitted to SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) a project of bringing of the Baku and Absheron gas supply systems in compliance with European standards.

SOCAR informs that according to E.On Ruhrgas’ primary estimates, work on renewal and automatic control of gas supply systems, including use of smart card gas meters was evaluated at 1.1 bn euro.

“RWE submits its proposals on the occasion in the near future as well. That will allow further negotiations with both companies on the project. After submission of concrete proposals SOCAR will consider them and take a decision in favor of one of them. Then the process of upgrade will be continued in other regions of the country,” it was reported.
