OREANDA-NEWS. April 30, 2010. Phase I of the Applied Science Conference (ASC) for young specialists, where 27 participants displayed their projects, was completed at Burguslanneft LLC (OJSC Orenburgneft, member of the TNK-BP Group), the press-centre of TNK-BP reported.

An expert panel of judges selected the best projects in four categories. The first prize for the “Oil and Gas Production” category went Andrei Mescheryakov, oil and gas production operator in Oil and Gas Production Workshop 1. The Best Innovation Certificate was awarded to Yuri Piskunov, chief engineer from the Central Engineering-Technological Services. Artem Mikhailov, dehydrator and desalter unit operator at Central Oil Treatment Facility 1, was the prizewinner in the “Oil and Gas Treatment and Transport” category. Innovation manager Ruslan Khusniyarov received the Best Innovation Certificate for his project on “Application of Flow Coupling”.

Maxim Knyaginichev, oil and gas production operator in Oil and Gas Production Workshop 1, became the winner in the “Geology and Oil and Gas Field Development” category. Dmitri Moiseev, team leader at the Central Engineering-Technological Services, earned the award for the best innovation.

Alexander Kurchaev, senior specialist in the Health, Safety and Environment Department and Chairman of the Buguruslannenft LLC Council of Young Specialists, scooped the first prize in the “New Technologies” category.

Pavel Volkov, senior engineer at the Office of the Chief Power Engineer, received the award for the best innovation.

Chairman of the Panel of Judges and Chief Engineer of Buguruslanneft LLC Igor Krisiyan praised the good preparedness of the Conference participants. “This year blue-collar workers took an active part in the ASC and showed high-quality projects”, underscored Igor Kristiyan.

The winners will participate in the Regional Phase of the ASC in Buzuluk and the best projects will be displayed at the Corporate Conference in Moscow.
