Moldova Will Hold General Agricultural Census
OREANDA-NEWS. April 30, 2010. As it has been informed in the press-service of the government, it was declared by the PM Vladimir Filat at the session of interdepartmental committee of strategic planning. He has emphasized special importance of carrying out of census and has demanded the maximal responsibility at its organization and carrying out.
According to representatives of the National Bureau of Statistics, the actions directed to the appropriate organization and carrying out of census are already being undertaken. It is a question of creation of necessary legal frameworks, organization by experts of the Food and agricultural organization of the United Nations (FAO) of advisory and assessment missions; organization of trial census in a number of settlements. For preparation and carrying out of census 67,8 million leis from which 48 million are to be allocated in 2010.
For these purposes the state budget of Moldova will allocate 14,9 million leis, the rest will be given by the development partners of the country. It is planned that during the general agricultural census in Moldova in 2010 the complex information on agrarian sector of the country will be received with the purpose of development in the further of the development program for the whole industry. Census will pass within the program of the United Nations on agriculture and the World agricultural census. Last census in agricultural sector of Moldova took place in 1994. Then the state of long-term plantations was estimated. In 1992 there was the census of animals, and in 1985 – of cultivated areas.
