Gas-Turbine Power Plant Building Assembled at Ust-Tegusskoe Field
OREANDA-NEWS. April 29, 2010. TNK-BP has completed construction of the major buildings for a gas-turbine power plant at the Ust-Tegusskoe field of the Uvat project in the south of the Tyumen region. The construction of the power plant is now in an active phase. During the winter transport season, all the necessary construction supplies were brought to the object. Currently NG-Energo, which won TNK-BP’s tender, is conducting assembly and start-up work, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.
The group of fields at the Uvat project is far removed from electricity infrastructure and therefore energy at the Urnenskoe and Ust-Tegusskoe oil fields has been generated using diesel plants. A 45 MW gas-turbine power plant will be built in order to cover the energy demands of the existing infrastructure at the Ust-Tergusskoe field. The first phase of the project will be commissioned in Q4 2010.
The gas-turbine power plant will be fueled by associated gas, which will be separated from crude during the extraction process at the central gathering facility.
The second stage of the gas-turbine power plant, with a capacity of 20—25 MW, is planned for 2011. It will be commissioned in 2012 and will cover the growing electricity demands at the Urnenskoe and Ust-Tegusskoe oil fields and will use up to 95 percent of the associated gas produced at the fields.
