OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2010. VN Finance Director Normunds Stanevics has today stepped down from the Management Board of VN.

Following his departure from the Management Board, the VN Supervisory Council has appointed two new Board members, Boris Bednov and Alexander Yagdzhiyants, to fill the two vacant positions on the Management Board.

Boris Bednov is an extremely experienced oil industry professional. He is a graduate of the Moscow Chemical Technology University. He began his career in the oil and transit business in 1982 as a refinery engineer and from 19993 to 1996 worked as an oil trader. He has been head of the Lithuanian office of Vitol, based in Mazeikai since 1996.

Alexander Yagdzhiyants is a graduate of the London School of Economics. He began his career with JSC Lukoil-Baltija in Riga in 1999. In 2003-07 he founded and was chief executive of the company JSC Ekspolita. He has worked as an executive in the Lithuanian office of Vitol, based in Mazeikai since 2007.
