OREANDA-NEWS. April 27, 2010. Azerbaijan – Italy business forum was held on April 26 in Baku organized by AZPROMO and the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE) that brought together about 60 local and Italian entrepreneurs from agriculture, food industry, logistics, construction, transport, energy and other sectors. Forum was opened by the speech of Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Niyazi Safarov, followed by opening speeches of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Italian Republic Mr. Adolfo Urso and the Ambassador of Italy to Azerbaijan Mr. Mario Baldi.

Main organizers of the forum – AZPROMO and ICE heads made presentations on Investment Climate and Business opportunities in Azerbaijan as well as economic cooperation opportunities between Azerbaijan and Italy, which were reinforced by the joint document on the future economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy that was signed by Deputy Minister Safarov and Deputy Minister Urso.

Furher, forum continued with presentation of Zaur Mammadov (Azerbaijan Investment Company) and introductory presentations of Italian companies . Forum was followed by the conventional bilateral meetings between the entrepreneurs of both countries.
